Ex-Loveland, Colo. Cop Faces Life in Prison for Allegedly Sexually Abusing Child While on Duty: Indictment

LOVELAND, COLO. — An ex-Loveland, Colo. policeman has been indicted for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor child while on official duty, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The DOJ today released a press statement concerning the indictment against the former officer, Dylan Miller, 28. He faces the possibility of being imprisoned for the rest of his life, the DOJ news release states.

The alleged incident happened “on or about Aug. 4, 2023.”

Miller’s alleged sexual assault of the child while working in the role of a police officer was made public by the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ along with the FBI Denver Field Office.

The Larimer County (Colo.) Sheriff’s Office investigated the case with help from the Loveland Police Department.

Miller will be prosecuted by Senior Sex Crimes Counsel Maura White of the Civil Rights Division’s Criminal Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Alison Connaughty for the District of Colorado are prosecuting the case, the release adds.
