A Louisiana man allegedly used a rifle with a night-vision scope to kill an 11-point buck afterhours Saturday around 7 p.m. in Bienville Parish.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents cited 33-year-old Christopher Havard of Castor, La. for allegedly hunting afterhours.
The suspect was arrested after after a gunshot complaint, and wildlife agents seized the deer, rifle and night-vision scope.
Havard faces up to a $950 fine and 120 days in jail, and a civil penalty of more than $2,000.
Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries agents who worked the case were Sgt. Charles Dison, Sgt. Patrick Staggs, Corporal John Blalock, Corporal Emily Sexton and Agent Zachery Funderburk.
