Two found shot inside vehicle in March, one victim survived, state police say

ARKANSAS — An Arkansas man has been indicted on a charge of first-degree murder following a March double shooting, according to state law enforcement.

Conway, Ark. resident Antonio Jose Aldridge, 30, is charged in connection to the shooting death of 29-year-old Steven Anthony Tyler of Clarendon.

Tyler’s body was found shot inside a vehicle in Clarendon on March 14 along with another shooting victim, who survived after being treated at a hospital.

The second victim was 61 years old and also from Clarendon, an Arkansas State Police news release issued Aug. 9 says.

The vehicle where the two shooting victims were found was parked at 501 Harris St. in Clarendon, the release notes.

Aldridge was also charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons and transported to the Monroe County Detention Center, it adds.

Clarendon is 95 miles southeast of Aldridge’s hometown of Conway, which is 30 miles north of the state capital of Little Rock.
