WISCONSIN — A disability doesn’t have to take a person out of the hunt in the great outdoors.
That’s why state wildlife officials in Wisconsin are once again putting out the call for landowners to open their acreage for this special class of outdoors enthusiasts.
The hunt has been taking place in Wisconsin over 30 years, and landowners with at least 60 acres are being sought for the Gun Deer Hunt For Hunters With Disabilities, which will be Oct. 5-13.
Several hundred hunters with disabilities participate annually thanks to landowners who provide accessible hunting land.
