ARKANSAS — A Kentucky man faces felony drug charges, including trafficking, after he was stopped by law enforcement in Arkansas near Oklahoma this week.

Arkansas State Police say officers found over 20 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags, about 3 pounds of hallucinogenic mushrooms, over 2,000 THC vape cartridges and 5 pounds of concentrated THC.

The suspect, 25-year-old Bowling Green resident Benjamin Joyner, was booked into the Crawford County Detention Center and held on charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, officials said in a news release.

Arkansas State Police stopped Joyner on Wednesday afternoon for committing an alleged traffic violation while driving a rental car on Interstate 40, reportedly from Los Angeles, California to Kentucky, the release says.

Crawford County, Arkansas is on the Oklahoma state line in the Ozarks region just north of Fort Smith.
