GREENWOOD, MISS.– The nationally acclaimed “Van Gogh for All,” a technologically imaginative experience into the life of one of the world’s greatest and most enigmatic artists, is now on display in Greenwood, Miss. through February at the Museum of the Mississippi Delta.

Tickets for the traveling exhibit, which is sponsored by many companies including the Chicago Tribune, start at $15 and can be purchased online through PromoTix, which is linked through the Museum of the Mississippi Delta’s website.

The exhibit immerses people into Van Gogh’s life, mind and most famous paintings, including “Starry Night.”

Experience Other Artistic Visionaries in the Mississippi Delta After the Van Gogh Exhibit

The Mississippi Delta, one of the nation’s more impoverished areas, is no stranger to artistic visionaries, including “Muppets” creator Jim Henson, who was born in Greenville, one hour east of Greenwood where the “Van Gogh for All” exhibit is on display.

The Jim Henson Delta Boyhood Exhibit is in Leland, Miss., which is 45 minutes west of Greenwood and the birthplace of Kermit the Frog.

The Mississippi Delta, of course, is also the birthplace of the Blues thanks to many great talents such as Robert Johnson, who died in Greenwood at age 27 in 1938, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King.

And the Delta Blues Museum is also in Clarksdale, MS, one hour north of the Van Gogh Exhibit in Greenwood.
